Originally from Senegal, Mariama’s journey has taken her across industries and continents, where she has consistently demonstrated leadership and vision.

Mariama began her career at the eco-sustainable Hotel San Rocco on the shores of Lake Orta in northern Italy. During her first fifth years there, she excelled in event planning and organised high-profile corporate and social events. She eventually served as Hotel Manager for 5 years , where she honed her expertise in operational management and strategic planning.

Currently, Mariama plays a pivotal role at Giacomini S.p.A., where she leads institutional relations, public affairs, and hospitality initiatives. Her work bridges industrial progress with environmental conservation, showcasing how economic growth and sustainability can thrive together.

As a board member of 1225 North Loop West Investments Inc., a renowned real estate investment group based in Houston, Texas, Mariama contributes her strategic insights to help the organisation grow, improve efficiency, and drive value. She is passionate about ensuring the company remains competitive and forward-thinking in a dynamic market.

Mariama and her husband co-founded the Cavaliere del Lavoro Alberto Giacomini Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting tourism, art, culture, and environmental preservation in the Lake Orta region. Through the foundation, she actively empowers communities and promotes sustainable development.

Mariama is fluent in multiple languages and brings a global perspective to all her endeavors. She currently resides by Lake Orta with her family and continues to champion sustainability, innovation, and philanthropy.
